1.3-1.8 meters
Per Hoodie
Shell fabric for one adult hoodie at 180 cm width, before ribbing and before 8-15% cutting wastage. Narrower fabric pushes this higher.
The short version:
- An adult hoodie takes roughly 1.3 to 1.8 meters of shell fabric at 180 cm width, plus ribbing, plus wastage. Your factory’s measured figure for your block is the one that counts.
- Fabric width changes the number more than GSM does. A narrower roll means more meters per hoodie for the same garment.
- A heavier hoodie does not use more meters. It uses the same meters, which weigh more, and that weight is what a mill’s kilo-based minimum measures.
- Convert your hoodie count into meters, then into kilos, and check it against the mill’s floor. That is the whole calculation.
- If your order is below the fabric floor, the fix lives on the sourcing-route decision, not in the cutting room.
