Shells, Fills & Linings

Outerwear is a three-layer spec

Every jacket is a shell, a fill, and a lining specified together; that’s what separates outerwear manufacturing from cut-and-sew fleece. Our standard range is below; we source outside it against your tech pack.

Layer Options Used for
Nylon/poly taffeta shell 60-90gsm, matte or sheen, DWR optional Puffers, coach jackets, windbreakers, nylon shells
Ripstop shell Grid-reinforced nylon Technical puffers and shells
Satin shell Poly satin, high sheen Satin bombers, souvenir-jacket builds
Melton wool blend + sleeves Wool-blend body, PU or leather sleeves Varsity and letterman jackets
Denim 10-14 oz, rigid or washed Denim and trucker jackets
Polar fleece/sherpa pile 280-400 gsm fleece, high-pile sherpa Fleece and sherpa jackets
PU / genuine leather PU standard; genuine leather Leather varsity sleeves and panels
Fill Polyfill 100-300 gsm, recycled fill, down-alternative Puffers, vests, quilted linings fill weight sets the warmth class
Lining Taffeta, quilted, mesh, or sherpa Every jacket the interior finish buyers judge on first try-on
Hardware & Trims

The hardware is half the jacket

Outerwear lives or dies on its hardware; a failed zip is a returned jacket regardless of the shell. Every component below is specified in the tech pack and locked at PP sample.

Hardware

  • YKK zippers: main zips, two-way options, and pocket zips.

  • Custom zipper pulls engraved or molded with your logo.

  • Snaps & poppers branded caps on coach jackets and plackets.

  • Cord locks & toggles for hem and hood adjustment.

  • Interior pockets zip or drop-in, plus hanger loops.

Trims & branding

  • Ribbed collar, cuffs & hem solid or striped knit for bombers and varsities.

  • Chenille patches, varsity lettering, and crest work made in-house.

  • Embroidery chest, back, and sleeve placements through shell and fill.

  • Leather & PU patches with debossed branding

  • Woven labels, hang tags, packaging full private-label finishing
Complete The Collection

Built to layer over your line

Outerwear is the top layer of a collection, not a standalone product, so our jacket blocks are sized to layer cleanly over the hoodies and tees we cut for you, and colorways can be matched across categories from the same dye standards. One factory, one color language, one drop.

MOQ & Pricing

Why outerwear starts at 50

  • MOQ is 50 pieces per style higher than our fleece minimum because a jacket carries 3–5× the panels plus lining, fill, and hardware setup that only amortizes at volume.

  • Shell and fill set the base price; a satin bomber, a 300 gsm-fill puffer, and a wool-body varsity are different cost classes entirely.

  • Hardware count: every zip, snap, and toggle is a component and an operation; itemized on the quote.

  • Decoration chenille crest work and multi-placement embroidery are priced differently from a single chest hit.

  • Order volume unit price steps down at 200 / 300 / 500-piece tiers.

  • Sample cost is credited against your bulk order. If the MOQ exceeds 100 pieces.
