The half-zip lives or dies on the collar: a funnel that stands cleanly when zipped and folds without collapsing is a patterning job, not an accident. The placket length and collar height are the two decisions that define the whole garment.

Funnel collar

High stand collar that frames the neck and zips up cleanly, self-supporting when closed and structured enough not to slump when open.

Half-zip placket

Quarter-to-half-length zip; the body stays pull-over. Placket length is specified in your tech pack and sampled before bulk.

Chin guard

Zip the garage at the top of the placket so the slider sits comfortably against the chin. The comfort detail customers notice without naming it.
