Who we make crop hoodies for

The crop hoodie sells on Silhouette. These are the brands that get the most from it.

Women’s lines

Your customer wants a hoodie that shows the waist and works with high-rise jeans, skirts, and joggers. A cropped, block-graded fit from XS gives her that shape without swimming in fabric. Private label with Gibben

Streetwear and unisex capsules

A boxy, drop-shoulder crop is the trend piece that pairs with your core hoodie. Same fleece, same branding, a completely different read on the rail. See every hoodie style we make

Sets and co-ord brands

A crop hoodie is half of an outfit. Pair it with matching joggers or shorts, and one look sells two pieces in one order. Matching bottoms

What Makes This Style Unique

Cropped construction

A cropped block is not a regular hoodie cut short the body, shoulder, and hem are re-proportioned so the shortened length looks deliberate. The hem finish is the style decision that defines the whole piece.

Cropped length

A shortened body block patterned to sit at the waistline, proportioned, not truncated, so the pocket-free front stays balanced.

Boxy body

A wider, relaxed cut through the chest to match the cropped silhouette; the proportions of streetwear and women’s lines dictate this style.

Hem options

Raw-cut, ribbed band, or drawcord-gathered hem three completely different reads from one block. Sampled side-by-side on request.

Drop shoulder

Relaxed shoulder line that matches the boxy body a set-in shoulder on a cropped block reads dated; the drop keeps it current.

Hood or crew

Build it hooded or as a cropped crewneck from the same body many brands run both in one drop.

Clean finish

Coverstitched or bound hem for a tidy edge on ribbed and banded versions; raw hems are cut to curl deliberately, not fray.

Side by side

A designed crop vs. a hoodie cut short

Some suppliers make a “crop hoodie” by chopping length off a regular one. Your customer can see the difference the moment she puts it on.

Detail Regular hoodie, cut short Gibben cropped block
Body Same narrow chest, just shorter. Looks shrunken Widened through the chest so the short length looks intended
Shoulder Set-in shoulder left over from the full-length block Drop shoulder that matches the boxy body
Front Pocket squashed against the hem, or cut through Pocket-free front, balanced for the shorter body
Hem Whatever finish the original had Raw, ribbed or banded, chosen for the look you want
Graphics Placed for a longer body, so they sit too low Placed for the cropped front
Size run Starts where the regular hoodie starts Graded from XS for women’s and unisex lines

A chopped hoodie looks like a mistake

When the proportions are wrong, the customer doesn’t think “cropped.” She thinks “it shrank” or “it doesn’t fit.” That becomes a return, and it becomes a review other shoppers read. Re-proportioning the whole block is what makes a crop look chosen, not accidental.

The hem

Pick the hem that defines your crop

Same body, same fleece, same length. The hem alone changes who the hoodie is for.

Raw-cut hem

The look:
Undone and effortless. The edge rolls softly on the body.

Best for:
Streetwear, lounge, and relaxed drops.

How it’s finished:
Cut to curl deliberately, not fray.

Ribbed band

The look:
Classic and tidy. Sits snug at the waist.

Best for:
Women’s core lines and anything worn with high-rise bottoms.

How it’s finished:
Coverstitched or bound for a clean edge.

Banded hem

The look:
Structured and neat, with a flat band that holds the boxy shape.

Best for:
Minimal, elevated pieces and unisex capsules.

How it’s finished:
Coverstitched or bound for a clean edge.

Drawcord-gathered hem

The look:
Adjustable. Worn loose or cinched high on the waist.

Best for:
Athleisure and customers who want to style it two ways.

How it’s finished:
A channel at the hem with a drawcord, and custom cords available.

Fabric Options

Choose your fleece

350gsm French terry

Lighter, year-round weight.

400gsm brushed fleece

The standard soft hand-feel.

450gsm loopback

Heavier, more structured.

Quality check

The hoodie is checked at each step.

How each fleece shapes a crop

350 gsm French terry

Drapes closer to the body for a softer, slimmer crop. A natural partner for a raw-cut hem and spring or summer drops.

400 gsm brushed fleece

The balanced choice. Enough body to keep the boxy shape, soft enough for everyday wear. Where most crop lines start.

450 gsm loopback

Stands off the body and holds a sharp, square silhouette. Built for the premium streetwear crop.

Size & Fit

Regular fit (cm)

Size Chest (cm) Length (cm) Sleeve (cm)
XS 54 46 58
S 57 48 59
M 60 50 60
L 63 52 61

Note the shorter body length. Fully customizable to your tech pack.

Where it ends

A size M is 50 cm long from the high shoulder point. That is 20 cm shorter than our classic pullover, while the chest is a centimeter wider. Short and wide is what makes it boxy.

How it grades

Each size steps up 3 cm in chest, 2 cm in length, and 1 cm in sleeve. The crop stays at the waist on every size, from XS to L.

Want it shorter or longer?

Give us a target length for your size M. Higher above the navel or closer to the hip, we grade the rest of the run to match.

Customization

Make it yours

Placing graphics on a shorter body

A cropped front has less vertical space, so placement matters more than on a full-length hoodie. These spots work best:

  • Left chest
  • High center chest
  • Full back
  • Sleeve
  • Hood

The crop is built for the fit pic

A crop hoodie shows the whole outfit: the waist, the bottoms, and the shoes. That is why it lives in mirror selfies and try-on videos. Every one of those posts puts your logo and your label in front of your customer’s followers. A crop that fits right is a crop that gets posted.

Sets

Sell the outfit, not just the hoodie

The crop is the easiest top to build a set around. Make the matching pieces with us, in the same fleece and colorways.

Crop hoodie and crewneck

Built from the same cropped body. Many brands run both in one drop, so customers pick a hoodie or crew.

Knit fleece curls rather than unravels, and we cut raw hems to curl deliberately. The edge softens with washing, which is part of the look. Washing cold and inside-out keeps it neat for longer.

Sampling takes 7-10 days. You approve the length, hem, and fit on a physical sample before bulk production starts.

Our cropped block has a pocket-free front. On a shorter body, a pocket crowds the hem and throws off the proportions, so the front is kept clean and balanced.

Yes. The cropped crewneck is built from the same body as the crop hoodie. Many brands run both in one drop.

It works for both women’s and unisex lines. The boxy body and drop shoulder suit a wide range of bodies, and the size run starts at XS.

400 gsm brushed fleece is the balanced choice most crop lines start with. Choose 350 gsm French terry for a softer, lighter crop, or 450 gsm loopback for a structured, square silhouette.
