Blank prep
Tees are scoured washed clean of finishes so the fiber absorbs dye evenly and deeply.

Fold & bind
The pattern is set physically by the fold technique: spiral, crumple, or stripe before a drop of dye touches fabric.

Hand-dye
Dye is applied by hand to your approved color recipe. This is craft work; it’s also why no two pieces repeat.

Cure & wash
The dye is set, excess rinsed, and the garment softened, colorfast out of the bag, and graded in wash testing.

We lock your palette and fold technique with an approved reference sample, so the whole run reads as one cohesive batch varied, but on-brand. The reference sample is the whole game. Before a bulk run starts, we dye a piece to your palette and technique; you approve it, and it goes on the wall next to the dyers. Every piece in the run is judged against it, not for being identical, but for staying inside the same palette, the same intensity, the same character. Vary, don’t drift.
The recipe behind that sample dye ratios, water, time, technique gets written down. That’s what lets a reorder six months later look like it came from the same batch, which is the thing brands actually worry about and rarely get from a workshop.
The base fabric decides how rich the color lands. Natural cotton drinks dye; poly resists it and mutes everything. We push brands toward 100% cotton for this reason and say so up front rather than after a flat sample.

Will every tee look identical?
No, hand-dyeing guarantees each piece is one-of-one. What we control is the batch: same palette, same technique, same intensity range, locked by your approved reference sample. Varied pieces, cohesive drop.
Can I supply an exact colour palette?
Yes, send Pantone references or physical swatches, and we build the dye recipe for them, approved on a dyed reference before the run. The recipe is kept on file for reorders.
Will the colours bleed in the customer’s wash?
No, pieces are cured, rinsed to exhaustion, and colorfastness-graded in wash testing. First-wash care guidance is printed on your care label.
Can you print a logo over the dye?
Yes, screen printing and embroidery both sit over the dye. High-opacity or discharge-style prints keep logos crisp on busy patterns; we proof it on your actual dyed base, not a plain blank.
Which base fabric takes dye best?
100% cotton, 180–240 gsm natural fiber absorbs dye fully. Poly blends resist dye and mute the pattern; if you want heavyweight, our 240 gsm cotton base is the ceiling that still dyes rich.
Is the MOQ per pattern or per style?
